How to change username?

I want to use my account to request payments for my services but I don’t want my customers to see my name and therefore I’d like to change my username, is that possible if so how?

I found a post from 2017 that said to go into settings and there’s an update button next to username but that’s not the case when I check my account. I only see manage and from there I can share my account, but other than that I can’t figure out if there’s a way to do it.

You have to have your legal name on your paypal account.

The only way to hide a name is if you are a registered business and have a business account with a business name.
