I have 2FA setup for Paypal. Why does Ebay bypass my Paypal 2FA when paying with Paypal?

I would expect Paypal's 2FA appllies to any site where I have setup Paypal as my payment option.
So why would a purchase on Ebay with Paypal go directly to the completed purchase rather than ask for 2FA?
I'm reaching out to Ebay as well, this didn't make any sense to me, and certainly a security hole.

If you have Ebay in your approved automatic payments list then they already have your approval.
Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments.''
Advice is voluntary.

We may have different options in our blue bands, which may explain why I don't see the final Manage pre-approved payments"
I have payments as 4th option, clicking that gives me sub-categories:
- Online purchases, currently set to Paypal Balance as I have set it
-In-store purchases, not set
-In-store purchases, Loyalty cards
-Automatic payments
When clicking on Automatic payments, I see several vendors, including Ebay, where I see the last transaction that brought up this whole topic.
Under the Ebay, I see options for Change Payment Method, Manage and cancel at eBay, More Activity and Remove Paypal as payment method.
Rather than remove Paypal as a payment method, Paypal should merely offer to remove the "autopay" option I think you're describing, in order for 2FA to kick in whenever I make an Ebay purchase with Paypal.
So I see nothing specifically to manage any pre-approved payments.
My current solution is simply to add 2FA to my Ebay account, but I would prefer it had respected my 2FA for Paypal as I never would have given it pre-approval for payments. I don't believe Ebay is unique in its ability to bypass the 2FA of Paypal with clouded settings such as this that seem nowhere to be found easily.
I see other threads with this "pre-approved payment" issue in the Paypal community, now that I know what to search for, and there does not appear to be any resolution.
Thanks for your suggestion, but you're suggesting the same thing to others and others are telling you the option is not there.
This specific link shows below vendors I've done business with before, under "Autopay" that I have never specifically told to be able to process a Paypal payment automatically without my 2FA approval.

I get that this bypass of 2FA may be a convenience for some, but it is not for me.

Automatic payments are pre-approved payments OR subscriptions.
If you have Ebay in there as you have said .....
Under the Ebay, I see options for Change Payment Method, Manage and cancel at eBay, More Activity and Remove Paypal as payment method.
then you have already given paypal to debit any Ebay payments during checkout.
