Log-in requires 2-factor verification (everytime, on own smartphone!)

Is it possible to turn it off on own smartphone? With previous iPhone I was logged in instantly with FaceID, nowadays I am verifying with FaceID + need to enter Authenticator app. Is there anyway to get your smartphone set-up as a trusted device again (using it since 6 months...). It is very annoying to:
Log-in, FaceID, open Authenticator app, copy code, insert code, etc.

Hello @Abstand,
Welcome to the PayPal Community Forum! I'm sorry to hear you've run into some issues logging into your mobile app consistently. Have you tried removing the old devices from the Manage Logins area of your Security Settings? While there, you may want to double check that 2-factor authentication has not been turned on as well.
If you're still running into login issues after that, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Customer Support.
Good luck!

Hi @PayPal_JonK ,
thanks for your response. I deleted a bunch of the listed log-ins. In the "Manage Logins" area it shows that my Windows pc & iphone paypal app are marked as "known".
I do not want to disable the 2-factor authentication overall, because I think it is very secure! In the 2-factor authentication settings it says at the bottom: "You have decided that for 5 trusted devices & browswers, authentication can be skipped." This is exactly what I need, because I feel like in those 5 devices, it misses out on my current smartphone. Should I revoke access to all those devices and can I somehow add my smartphone manually again? Or is this only happening automatically?

Hey @Abstand
I see you're looking to skip the authentication fro your current smartphone. You can skip the 2-step Verification on your trusted devices for a faster, convenient and secure login at the same time. Simply log in to PayPal on the device and complete 2-step verification. You'll see the option to "trust this device." You can review this article for more information on 2 step verification feature.
Hope this information helps,
Bindu

Hi @PayPal_Bindu ,
yes exactly! I have visited your linked article - removed the 2 step verification, then added it again, and as described it displayed the option to "trust this device" which I activated. Done all that, logged in and out couple of times of the app again and still, everytime I try to log-in, I get asked to enter the authenticator pin 😕
Thanks in advance for your help!
