New account, Text message not received

Hi there, I am asking this for a friend. She tried to get a PayPall account, but in the step where you have to enter your phone number and get a text, she got stuck. We were on airport and here phone was is airplane mode. So after the errors and pop up that PayPall can’t send any codes no more, she turned the airplane mode off and got a bunch. Now she tries to get a new code, but we still see the error popping up. Is here phone number blocked? Please help! Thank you

Welcome to the PayPal Community! 

I'm sorry to hear your friend is having difficulty signing up for an account because she wasn't receiving the verification code. If she requested the code a few times back to back and it was never added correctly, there is a chance the phone number was temporarily locked from receiving additional codes. This rarely lasts more than 48 hours. If she's still been trying regularly to receive the code with no luck, please advise her to wait a few days without attempts. Then, try again. If that doesn't work, she can contact Customer Support by selecting 'Contact' at the bottom of the PayPal website. 

I hope she can create her account soon!
