Unable to close account.

Hello, for the last few days I've been trying to close my paypal account but it keeps telling me something needs to be resolved. 

I've made my account a few months ago when I was in Greece (I live in Romania) and I never completed/send/received anything using it. I've only had two attempts at using it, one in Greece when I needed to receive some money but I ended up opting for another option and one on Steam but I got an error (that I think was on the steam side), afterwards I've tried to close the account yet I keep receiving this

And when I try to close it from Data and privacy -> delete your data/close account I get an email saying that my account is blocked/limited. I never received an email telling me that my account is limited prior to doing this.

As I said I didn't do much if anything with the account so I don't exactly see why it would get limited. Is there anything I can do to close it?

The account you are posting with is a Romanian paypal account so I am presuming you are talking about another older paypal account?

If so then...........

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.

You should really withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts / cancel any subscriptions and close the old Paypal account before you move countries. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved and may need to contact customer services for help to resolve things.

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a private direct message via Social Media on Facebook, Twitter/X, or Instagram pages.

No I'm posting from the account I want to close. I think I made a mistake saying I made it in Greece since it seems I have installed the app a few days before going, but I'm sure I changed something like the email or password in Greece.

I forgot to mention that I wasn't 18 at the time and I had to set my birthday 2 months back so this may be the reason it is now limited.

I will send a private message to PayPal Support on Twitter and see if I can resolve it.

Paypal does not allow account holders under the age of 18.

PayPal asks for a birth date when you register so whilst you can make a PayPal account with false information the account will need to be verified to accept funds into your balance or lift any limits.
As you would be unable to verify your account it would be permanently locked for further use.

You would never be able to use that illegally opened underage account again but once 18 Paypal may allow you to open a new account. Opening a new account is not guaranteed as you have already broken their rules.
