"Link PayPal to Xoom" Password error - nothing seems to work

Hi. I simply cannot link my PayPal to Xoom account. I think I need to log in on Xoom with PayPal, correct? When I try to do this on xoom.com through my laptop or mobile, my PayPal password gets accepted (I get a confirmation request on my PayPal phone app and I confirm it), but I still need to insert my Xoom password. I've tried both the "reset xoom password" and "verify email on xoom" methods, even more than once. None worked. How can I solve this?
