File complaint PayPal with Ombudsman

Hi all

 

I sold an item on ebay. Buyer paid on ebay and came to pickup the item, and he updated ebay with item was picked up in front of me. However, he later informed his bank that he did not authorise the payment. Paypal asked me to provide evident of the transaction. I contacted ebay and ebay issued the evident that transaction was completed and that the buyer has picked up for me to give it to PayPal. 

 

Few weeks later, Paypal informed me they refunded the money back to the buyer (and that his bank decided in favour of the buyer). I was not sure why despite that I provided evidence to PayPal promptly. I raised dispute, after go around the bush with PayPal message, they said someone will call me in 24hours. Well, they didn't and closed the message.

 

In one of the conversation, PayPal suggested me to report it to Police. I did, but Police told me this is between me and PayPal. Police officer made a suggestion for me to go to Paypal Ombudsman.

 

I believed I have been unfairly treated as a long time customer. 

 

Any advise how to raise to Ombudsman ?

I am submitting the form today.

 

It is good to know there is a independent government body to be an umpire for any dispute between big company and a single little of their customer.

 

Will see where it goes.

1671585 PayPal call Receipt - Sheila was representative, my canceled subscription has been completed & should be reflected on my PayPal Balance today as the 10 business day time-frame has been fullfilled. There is an active technical issue on numerous customers PayPal accounts with a similar issue. My issue has been boosted in priority to be addressed ASAP. PayPal is hoping to have the issue resolved by end of day but no known ETA. Call time: April 9th, 2021 @ 9:55pm with Sheila Call duration: 41 mins 45 seconds and ended @ 10:36pm I was just called by PayPal today, April 10th, 2021 and they said I'm not getting any money and that they won't review the phone call with Sheila. Basically saying I'm not getting my money. This is theft.

Same issue with an high value item PayPal should have sent you a message with the ombudsman web link I would also suggest to take PayPal to court to recover the costs
