Invoice still showing as pending to wrong email

You sent a PayPal invoice to one person and then another paid that invoice. I don't know how that can happen. There was just one invoice.
A recipient can cancel a received invoice normallly, you state that this very invoice was paid by another person.
Please explain how that happened.

I didn't realize you could edit an invoice and re-send it.
How many invoices are showing in your PayPal account?
There is nothing wrong with a unpaid invoice hanging in a recicpients' email. The recipient should have an option to cancel it.

I didn't realize that such could happen. It's just unfortunate a stranger has a paid invoice dangling, but it wouln't have a negative impact.
Anyway, you explanation is a great learning experience for me, just becuase I like to know stuff; maybe I'll be a abetter helper with some new knowledge about invoices. 🙂

I had this same unfortunate thing happen to me about 6 months ago.
A company I have never done busines with FAT FINGERED my email address for an invoice. After I contacted them they cancelled it and 6 months later when I look at my account - this invoice is pending on my account. If I look on the paypal app - I have to sometimes remind myself not to think of the pending amount as a debit from my balance.
Inconvenience is an UNDERSTATEMENT - I find it crazy that Paypal cant correct this on my account.
