I currently own one business and am acquiring another this month. I assumed that I could add a second business to my PayPal account, but I don't see a way to customize which shopping cart buttons are associated with which business or display a different business name for purchases from one vs the other. Any help?

Re: Non-profit with two websites

You can have two PayPal Accounts providing you have separate bank accounts, credit card and email addresses. You cannot share bank accounts, credit cards or email addresses.
Just few tips: Having Multiple Web Sites and PayPal
One method: You can run multiple web sites through one PayPal Business Account however, there are limitations. One method that works well for many online businesses is to have a business name that does not associate you with any specific web site.
For example, your business name could be Acme Limited. This is the name that would show up on customer's transactions even if they purchased from John's Mower Parts or Mary's Handbags.
You can customize each web site with a different business graphic logo but, because, you are limited to one PayPal Business or Premier Account, your actual business name needs to be neutral.
It's also a good idea to explain to your customers that when they see their statement, the billing company, Acme Limited, is the parent company of John's Mower Parts or Mary's Handbags.
Another method: If you have two separate companies with different sets of accounting books and different business bank accounts and/or credit cards, you can have two separate PayPal accounts.
And another option if you use Website Payments Pro. There is an option to have "Child Accounts". It's not something you can setup yourself, it must done by PayPal. You must contact PayPal's Customer Service for assistance.

Hello Everyone,
PayPal does have what is called a Parent / Child account, this allows you to have one master account and multiple child accounts. The master account would have the financial information on it (bank account and credit card), and the child account would be set up to receive money. The money would be swept into the master account each night and can be withdrawn to the bank account on file. By setting up a Parent / Child account would allow you to keep your businesses funds separate. You can contact the Sales team at PayPal to get it set up. I hope this helps.

Hello
My client has a company doing two different businesses - one with shipping, another with "virtual" web services.
They have a Company with PayPal account and verified bank account
and they have a Registered Business Name to carry on with web stuff.
They want to have two identities with one PayPal account, so customers coming on the "virtual" line of businees see the Registered Busines Name on their credit card statements, not the Company name.
Is this possible ?
Thank you

With regards to the Parent / Child account, how many "children" can you have. We are in the process of setting up a parent company that would have 4 - 6 divisions. We would like to have each division with their own identity, but all filtering into the parent account. Would this be possible through this option? Also, what additional costs would be associated with getting this set up?
Thanks for the information

Hello myamifin,
Welcome to the Forums.
Yes, you can set up a parent company that would have 4 - 6 divisions with each division having their own identity and all filtering into one parent account. There is not a limit and there is no additional costs to set this up. All you need to do is call PayPal directly and speak to the sales department to get it all set up. I hope this helps.
