Setting Up Merchant Account

Is it possible to set up a merchant account without providing a Tax ID number?  Any options I can explore?

Welcome to the Community .

When you set up a PayPal Business account you do not need a SSN or a TIN. However, when you set up Website Payments Pro or Virtual Terminal the application will require a SSN or TIN. When you apply for a Merchant account your SSN or TIN is required because PayPal will do a credit check to determine if you qualify for our Merchant Services.
