Hey,
my business is registered in Canada, but I am resident in Germany.
Now Paypal asks me to fill out an Identity Confirmation. When it asks me for my personal information, I have to add an address.
However, it will only let me enter a Canadian address.
Has anybody had this issue before and how did you handle it?

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.
You should really withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts before you move countries. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved and may need to contact customer services for help to resolve things.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Shouldn't you have a Canadian mailing/billing address for the business? How can one even legally register for a business in Canada, or anywhere for that matter, without having a local business address, or without a Canadian-living partner (point of contact person name/billing address) running the Canadian PayPal account.
Or perhaps you don't really have a legally registered Canadian business, but just operating a Canadian PayPal business account.
PayPal accounts are country specific because each country has different laws applicable to PayPal, therefore, you can only enter a Canadian address in a Canada PayPal account.

Thanks for your answer.
We do have a business address (which I entered), but that doesn't have to do anything with the real problem of my personal address being in Germany.
At the same time, if you open up a business account in Germany, you have to provide a German address for your business (but mine is registered in Canada).

The account owner address has to be Canadian too, that is why if you are not a Canadian Resident or national, it is recommended to partner up (creating a business partnership) with a Canadian (point of contact/agent) living in Canada so you can use their name/address for starting your business which includes doing such things as opening up a Canadian PayPal or bank account related to the business. Canada does't have that e-resident program like Estonia has.
Contact customer service for further assistance.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
