Cannot verify identity to cash a check

I am trying to cash my stimulus check on the PayPal app. I put in all of my info and it says confirmed but then goes to a screen that says unable to verify your identity, you cannot load checks at this time. There’s no further instructions as to how I can confirm my identity. I put in all of my info. Now I’m stuck on the unable to verify screen. I have agoraphobia, fear of outside, so I can’t take it to a bank to cash it. I don’t have a bank account either. I do have a direct express card that has my name on it. Can I fix this so I can get the check cashed?

Hello? Can someone help? I’ve tried the message help thing and after 4 hours of waiting for someone to answer, no one replied. I just want to figure out why It says cannot verify identity.

Same problem, unfortunately. I've been told to go to the resolution center and see what needs to be verified/updated. But nothing is there and it says my profile is all verified. Yet, I still get the message "we're sorry. We were unable to identify your identity. You cannot load checks at this time"

I got a hold of one person in the help messages. They sent me a code text to verify my phone number. It didn’t help. They tried to transfer me to another person. Y’all if I get this fixed you’d be getting some money. I’ve been trying for almost a year now to get it fixed. It seems they don’t know the solution either.

You would need a paypal cash account to access the cash a cheque service.

@kernowlass I already have a PayPal Cash Plus account and I still got this error. I took photos of the check as instructed, but then it said it needs to verify my identity. After a few days I received an email saying that they cannot verify my identity. It didn't say what I should do or how to proceed. Any advice?

Exact same thing happened to me. I'm so annoyed.
