I cannot login because I cannot get beyond the authentication request. Who can help me out?

Hello
I cannot login to my account because I cannot get beyond the authentication request. I don't receive a code when I ask for one and they don't call me when I ask it. What to do?

When you contact PayPal support do they give you the option of providing proof of identification to get back into your account? I know a lot of companies that use 2FA allow you to provide a photo ID or drivers license to be able to get back into your account in the event that your locked out. I'd also try to contact the manufacturer of your phone to have them do basic troubleshooting since you're not receiving verification codes to your phone number.

I wonder whether I should contact the manufacturer of my phone rather than Proximus, the service provider. I will of course also contact PayPal by phone.

My phone won't work because I'm in the UK, but my account is american. I just made a payment using that account, but I don't know how to give the money to paypal if they won't let me log in! Is there not a way to email or message them without a working US phone number?

Out of sheer frustration I entered my landline number, I too do not have a cell, and damned if PayPal didn't call immediately and give me a code to enter. Have your phone ready, you need to plug in (not speak) the number. Then you can unlock! It also gives another code, not really clear why they gave it but I wrote it down on a Post-It and will keep it on my tower in case of future problems.
