unable to verify it is me for my bank

I haven't used PayPal often and just tried adding a bank today. I got all the way to the step of verifying it is me using the PayPal account, but then I noticed the phone number supplied is an old phone number of mine. I updated it to my current number and go through the steps again, but I am immediately met with a "Sorry, we couldn't confirm it's you" immediately after supplying my bank routing and account numbers. Is there anything I can do or is there a cooldown period I have to wait before trying to add my bank again?
