Security code using VOIP - Magic Jack

Paypal is sending me a security code to utilize my account. However, my cell phone uses magic jack, voip. Some text messages come through, some don't. Paypals don't. Apparently Paypal only uses text messages, not emails. Anyone know of a way around this issue?
