help i cant add my cooperative bank account to pay pal keeps saying check account

To add a bank account:

Go to My money.
Click Link a bank account.
If you have already added another bank account previously, click Add.
Enter the number and click Link bank.
After adding a bank account to your PayPal account, you'll be asked to confirm it.

If you encounter issues when adding your bank account:

Make sure the bank account you are trying to add is not linked to another PayPal account.
Detele cache and cookies from the browser and/or try a different browser.
Make sure you enter the account number without spacing.

Here are the few possible reason why it's not going through.

Why can't I add my bank?
You may be unable to add your bank account if:
The bank account is already active on 2 PayPal accounts. A bank account cannot be active on 3 PayPal accounts at the same time. Try removing the bank account from the PayPal account it’s currently linked to. There is help if you forgot your login details.
The bank account has been linked to 3 PayPal accounts (in total) in the past. A bank account cannot be linked to any more than 3 PayPal accounts over its lifetime.
The name on the bank account does not match the name on the PayPal account.
The bank account is already active on a PayPal account that has a limitation or a negative balance.
Unfortunately, some bank accounts that are not compatible with PayPal, including most online only or prepaid bank accounts

It keeps saying check account number and try again it’s the correct number have tried all 4 of my accounts and nothing driving me crazy trying set it up I don’t understand why it’s not working

I closed my old PayPal account
