Fraud website-mallshoes.com, fashionshoes.com paypal still partnered with them

I am having such a problem with paypal right now that I'm probably going to close my account and honestly I feel like reporting all this to the FBI.  I bought a pair of shoes from mallshoes.com for $20, which I thought was in the states. The website had the Paypal logo on it and I payed using paypal. So much for trusting sites that use paypal!!!

Instead of shoes, I received a little plastic bag with some plastic bits in it in a small envelope from CHINA. I reported this to Paypal and started a dispute. Meanwhile I did some searching online and saw that people have been scammed by this same site (mallshoes, fashionshoes) since September!!!!  People receive a bag or plastic bag from China, he mails something out so that there will be a tracking number of some kind that paypal can see. Even more disturbing is that as of now paypal has still not stopped doing business with them, so more people are getting scammed as we speak. I've seen complaints from people that have been scammed for over a hundred dollars!  Paypal has ruled in my favor on the transaction, however they are requiring that I send back the "item" to the Chinese address via registered mail (min. $11 for a letter) and when they have proof of delivery I will get my refund. So now I need to spend more money to send bits of garbage basically, to a business which is fraudulent, for more than half of what I payed and I may still not get a refund. Who knows if the address is even good? It's like they are treating this complany as if is is legit. This is just outrageous!  I've seen so many negative websites and stories about paypal in the last week that I'm planning to close my account before one of their fraudulent partners hacks it!

I was just scammed by this company...before ordering and in error, I'd searched under the current name but only Famous Footwear, instead of Prada Famous Footwear and did not pull up any complaints. So ordered. Because we're protected under Paypal, right????
Today, over a month later, instead of the (particular) Reef sandals (I can't find in The States anymore) and Frye boots (which my husband was going to surprise me with) we received a sponge. Husband didn't realize the address on the parcel was in relation to this company and accepted the delivery, opened the package to see that it was in fact what they'd declared on the customs form...a sponge valued at .70 USD. That's right, less than a dollar, but shipped with delivery confirmation.
So, beyond putting in a claim, he's also contesting the charge and reversing payment. Really doesn't care if that means we sever our ties and cancel the account we've had for...12 years? It is insane to require, as I've seen on other threads (and sites) about this ever-name-changing outfit, that the customer returns the mouse pad/shopping bag/pen/SPONGE before a refund will be approved. Spend $19.00 out of pocket to return a dime-store rag? The scammer isn't going to accept the return parcel...is already showing as 'unavailable' to counter the dispute my husband placed this morning.

This is just nuts. I don't know who they've got managing paypal these days, but they are going to lose a lot of people if they keep this up. I put a complaint in at the BBB and if paypal closes my claim because I don't pay to have the item returned I will close my paypal account and look into alternatives for when I deal on ebay.

Better yet, write to your congressman!

These scams are becoming more and more common, the Chinese apparently see nothing wrong with it and have found this loophole to scam the American buyer and they just keep doing it over and over, they don't care because Paypal can't do anything, they just boff us around with their convenient English politeness they act like everything is all right when you know it's not so write to your congressman!

Hi

Thanks for posting.  I'm not getting any information from this website for a pair of shoes I ordered recently.  Can you tell me if the website was fashion-shoes-mall.com?

Thanks.
