concerned about giving out info

Hi. I wanted to add funds from my bank account, but I can't because it requires additional verification. First of all, there is no way that I will give out my personal information due to all the crazy internet things out there. I don't want to give out sensitive info due to security reasons. Although adding funds from a bank account takes 3-5 days, I prefer this method because I don't know any store that sells a Moneypak card. I'm steamed that this is happening! I never had any problems before this. -___-*
I want this fixed.

considering: 1) paypal is requesting photo copies of documents that could allow them to commit identity theft 2) paypal is restricting use of accounts until these documents are produced, people who don't have these documents are assumed to be liars 3) that restriction of use came without warning 4) the paypal login no longer works right 5) paypal has changed the user agreement to bar fair lawsuits unless the users opt-out 6) that opt-out process is very difficult 7) it took me several tries to log into this forum I have lost confidence in paypal. I feel that they really need to show some good faith so that I can trust them again. I have submitted the requested documents to the best of my ability even though it is a very serious risk to my personal security to do so. If the functionality of my paypal account is not restored Monday morning when I need it, I will be looking for an alternative to paypal.

Even if you give them al the documentation they want, they still keep asking for the same documents over and over again! I wonder if PayPal wants me to know all the compliance staff. Is there someone else besides Kamalpreet, Sam, Himanshu, Vijayarani, Rick, Dinah, Mohan, Anant, Sam, Harris Dani and Shalu?

Honestly, it's frustrating that all your documents have been accepted and approved, but they still don't remove the restrictions. It's been over a month with this situation.

There is no way I will give access to my bank account or get the credit card so I guess i will not be using Paypal or doing business with businesses that use it as a sole payment option. I suspect that life will still be quite possible without Paypal!

Well that settles it, open your eyes this is only the beginning, everyone is under complete survellience by the authorities, in the near future just to buy bread at a grocery store will demand additional verification!! like, photo id, name, street adress, ssn, driver's license, even though your only paying in cash. So screw "Big Brother" and its pawn and tool paypal I am going to be deleting my paypal account soon.

There is NO WAY I am providing all of that info just to be able to buy a few things off of Ebay.

They are asking way too much info. I own a business as well, Paypal, and that "know your customer" excuse is utter...well...*bleep*.

If paypal decides to restrict my account, I'm just one more customer they've lost due to greed. (and yes, it is pure greed to require such sensitive information from your customers) This matter has NOT been "solved" at all.

Another thing...marking this as "solved" really irks me.

I read the mod's reply regarding needing a pdf of my social security card, my driver's license, and a bill as part of the government's "know your customer" regulations. I'd like to know why Amazon doesn't need all that information, why Macy's doesn't, and why google checkout doesn't.

It must have been a law passed just for Paypal...

I'd really appreciate an answer from Paypal regarding this.

Hello...Paypal....anyone home?

Does anyone ever read these?

I love the new letter I received from pp, asking me "what is the problem" because I didn't send in my driver's license, my social security card, and a bill.

The problem is, that is just asking for identity theft. I've done business with pp for over a decade, and NOW they decide that I'm not who I say I am? Even though they have access to my bank accounts, for heaven's sake.
