Help! I want to star online store and I open a business account in paypal. Im trying to link my Icelandic bank account to Paypal when I open the “add bank” button it shows “Link a US bank account”. My address is here in Iceland and my bank as well.
I also would like to add funds to my Paypal account but the “transfer money” is not showing.
You can't add a local bank account / debit card in your country. You can only link a credit card. Also the option to receive paypal payments is sadly not available in Nigeria. You can only send payments for purchases funded by your (confirmed) credit card.
Paypal varies a lot country to country and can only offer the services that the banks / governments of that country allow it to offer. There are quite a few countries unable to receive paypal payments.
You can't add a local bank account in your country. You can only link a card. The only exception is Paypal allow a U.S bank account to be linked to most countries paypal accounts. This is because Paypal is a U.S company. Also the option to add funds to a balance i don't think is available in Iceland, you fund your purchases automatically from your linked card.
