Change default currency for payments

Hello,

I have a personal Paypal account and have a debit card attached to it for online payments.

It seems that Paypal automatically determines the origin of the bank issuing a card and uses that as a default currency for payments made using that card. Last time I had to contact them to change the default currency to USD. My question is if there is a way to do that from Paypal settings? I looked it up but haven't found it.

Hi @elgr,

When a bank or debit card is added to an account, it will automatically default to the local currency. If you would like to change the currency on your card, you will need to contact PayPal so that we can assist you with that.

Simply go to PayPal Help and then Navigate to Message Center. From there you can post a question for support specialist. You will be talking to a support assistant bot and at some point it will ask you whether you want your question to be posted and being reviewed by a human. You accept that and they will change your card currency soon after that. You will get a reply once it is done. Hope this helps
