Don’t have the option to deposit a check?

I made an account and linked my card but still am not even seeing the option to deposit a check there. How do I properly set up this function to start depositing checks directly to my paypal?

First, you have to have a US PayPal account. Then, you may need to convert your regular PayPal balance to what is called the PayPal "Cash" or "Cash Plus" balance account.

Then, go forward with trying to use the cash a check service via PayPal app on a smart phone (can't be done on website):
