Hermes fraud

Hi can anyone help me

I sell items on ebay and for small parcels I have been using Hermes.

For small  parcels they charge £2.85.

On Friday 1st may I paid for 2 small items to be delivered using the Hermes website.

The total cost was £5.70

On my First attempt at payment online I received an error message saying payment unsucessfull.

I retried seconds later and it was processed.

When I checked my paypal, through which I pay my hermes account I found out I had been charged twice!

I have attempted to contact Hermes by phone and at the moment I have been kept on hold for over 2 hours.

Its not the first time I have had a failed attempt at payment with the Hermes website and I am now wondering how many other times I have been charged twice.

What can I do to get my money back if hermes will not answer the phone.

Its only £5.70 but I am so annoyed at this scam

Can anyone help

Regards mark

@marke37

When you get an error message for any payment, its always best to wait and check if its gone through allowing a few hours before paying again.

A techie glitch is not a scam and its not rare it happens for lots of payments.

Covid is making it difficult to contact companies at the moment but if you email or get through on the phone i am sure they will refund the overpayment.
