How to use my $10 USD Reward?

I did the spend 10 or more in crypto for $10 offer and I got the reward. But I'm a little confused on how it works.

"This reward will be automatically applied to your next eligible purchase when you checkout with PayPal. Once redeemed, your Reward will be reflected on your PayPal receipt or in your PayPal transaction details. Thanks again for being a great PayPal customer." is what I got in my email.

So does this mean whatever I buy with paypal will automatically add the $10 reward?

Not 'whatever' you buy but what is 'eligible'. See if there are any fine print in the email.

If the purchase is eligible for the offer, the reward will be applied.

i think i had an eligible item as it was a purchase online at a store (officemax)  how do you know if its going to be applied.  when i went to checkout it didnt show the $10 being applied, it just showed the total
