Hi, I have a visa gift card, but I can't link it to my paypal account I receive this error : Your card has been declined. Please try a different payment method. However, the card worked well on amazon.
Is the card registered at issuer's website to your name and billing address that matches PayPal account? If there is no billing address attached to it, PayPal can't verify it. You can probably use it like a credit card as PayPal guest checkout but to link it to your PayPal account, it may have to be registered first.
Can you use it without logging into PayPal? Using the credit card/debit card method? It's also has to have enough for the temporary authorization charge too. If you're in Canada, maybe you can only use it with PayPal if you're billed in CAD.
@sharpiemarker When I try to pay an invoice without account just by using the card I get this error : Sorry, but your card issuer declined this payment. To complete your purchase, try a different card. I still have 72$.
Hnmm, than we just have to chalk it up to PayPal just not accepting the card, which PayPal has said that not all of them work with PayPal. Have you try just entering the card number in the gift card/voucher box during checkout?
