I have a $100 ebay gift card, how do I load it to use it on my purchases

I have a $100 ebay gift card, how do I load it to use it on my purchases.   I have been on the ebay site and Paypal and don't see anywhere I can download the value of the gift card for me to use when I buy items on ebay.

Redeem My eBay Gift Card

1. Visit eBay.com
2. When you’re ready to check out, click the ‘Pay now’ button
3. Type in the gift card code in the ‘Redeem a Gift Card, certificate or coupon’ 
4. Hit the ‘Apply’ button and then the ‘Continue’ button
5. Click ‘Confirm payment’
