Wow. You could check Get My Payment to see if it was rejected by PayPal. If that happens, IRS will cut you a check. If you don't see when they are mailing your check in the Get my payment portal., contact the IRS.For PayPal, it usually takes them 3-5 business days, because the payments are batched and Wells Fargo handles these accounts. If you have never used PayPal for DD they might hold for 2-3 pay periods. I don't know whether that's 14 to28 days. It's awful. PayPal was pushing this but nowhere was it prominently displayed that PayPal would treat these special payments like a paycheck. I would never have done this had I known. I only found this information after looking under direct deposits. Hope this is resolved for you soon.

Sorry. I typed a response, went back and it was gone. It turned out that my DD from the IRS appeared without glitches. Pure luck. PP may have rejected your deposit. You might want to check if IRS is mailing a paper check to you. A lot of things are happening to people. Some people had business PayPal accounts instead of personal ones. Some may have been first time users and in that case, PayPal may have held their money for verification and they would also hold for a first time direct deposit. I could not figure out what one or two pay periods meant. I filed my taxes later and put the PayPal routing number in the tax filing software and filed my return on 5/13. I didn't owe back child support or student loans. (Illegal, but some people had theirs taken.) Again, it's about three weeks and maybe that's enough time for the IRS to say they are mailing a check.
