Linking Chime card/bank to PayPal?

I am having the worst time trying to connect a Chime (bankcorp) bank account to my Paypal. Form my understanding the Chime/ Paypal Debit cards are issued by the same bank. So when I try to transfer it to my chime it’s saying they’ve encountered a problem try again later. I called and spoke to someone who said that they would connect it for me, and to send the transfer again. It was supposed to be the instant transfer but now it says it’s pending for 72 hours. My account is fairly new and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

open paypal app on your phone, click on add bank or card, then select bank, once you are there enter the routing number and account number in the spaces provided, click on finish (or similar) .... I just added chime to my paypal, if you follow these directions it will work for you, give it a few days to make the deposits then confirm in paypal, you are finished at this point

I did link the Chime card to PayPal it took a bit of jumping through hoops though. First off its a slow process meaning its not a simple click and its linked. I had to add my account numbers then PayPal sent me 2 small deposits (under .50) then I had to verify the 2 deposits total then the two accounts were linked. It took about a week to ten days from start to finish. It works for me now that I can swap money between the both accounts. Just note the deposits take a few business days to clear so again its not instant, but I got it to work. Also I tried to verify on the website and it wouldn't work so I called PayPal and an automated system worked. Hope this helps.

I was able to link my account, got it verified and everything. Transfered money just to have it declined and sent back to PayPal. It also unlinked my Chime account. I tried to relink it and now it's saying "instrument currently marked as bad". Wish they'd have just left it alone. There was no reason to do it the way they did.

I had this very problem, then i stumbled on to this solution. Download the Paypal mobile app. Then, go to where you link your cards & banks. Select to add bank. In the list of banks, type Chime. You know it won't be on the list, but do it anyway. Once you are told that the bank isn't on the list, it will give you the chance to enter your banks details (routing/account). Once you enter that, a dialog box will pop up recognizing your bank as "The Bancorp Bank". Then it will tell you to watch your account for two little deposits. That's it.
