Transfer to Debit Card Pending

I received money from a friend through Facebook yesterday, I went to transfer it to my debit card and I got an email saying "You asked us to transfer $xxx.xx USD to your bank and we're processing this transaction now. It typically takes 72 hours for your money to appear in your bank account." But in my account it shows "transfer to card-pending" I email PayPal and they said in order to have my finds released I have to show proof or tracking of shipment but she didn't buy anything she sent me money because I needed it. I called PayPal and they hung up on me. I need that money NOW and can't get any answers. Please help!

Which account is showing "transfer to card-pending"? PayPal or your bank account? It's the weekend so transfers may take longer. I did a transfer via bank on the 30th and today the transaction record says pending in my bank acct but its balance is updated but in PayPal it says completed. This is quite normal. Arrival times are estimated.

In PayPal is says that I didn't have it sent to my bank account I had it sent to my debit card, I've done this before and it was there within 30 minutes, it's been over 24 hours now. I did it yesterday so I'm not sure what is going on. if I would of known it was going to take so long I would of had her send it another way, I need it ASAP.

I didn't mean that it was a bank account transfer. I know it is a debit card transfer. Your debit card is connected to a bank account isn't it? That's where it would show right? Where is it is saying "transfer to card-pending"? PayPal or your "debit card" account? 

PayPal did say that typically it may take up to 72 hours. PayPal may hold transfer to review the funding source for anything suspicious. All transfers are subject to review.

Yeah I have to admit that if one withdrawing funds for an emergency, allow extra time for PayPal.

Sorry I thought you thought I did ACH. And it's on my PayPal account/ summary that it says "transfer to card-pending" I don't get early notifications on my card, as soon as the money is sent I receive it. Even with my payroll direct deposit, I get it early because it's released as soon as they receive it. I guess I'm just worried, I have read soooo many people say they had the same thing happen to them and 2 weeks later they still didn't receive the money. I hope it will be released in the 72 hour time frame from the email. Talking to customer service gets you nowhere. Thanks!
