Unable to withdraw money from balance

Hello,

When I try to withdraw money from my balance to my bank it is only offering me one bank account, that I do not use anymore and have not used in years. When I click on the "don't see all your banks or cards?" it comes up with the list of my debit cards and says that "some banks and cards don't accept transfers just yet".

However, these are just regular debit cards and two of them - a Santander account and a Nationwide account - I have definitely, definitely withdrawn to in the past. Is anybody aware of any changes that may have been made which limits accounts you can withdraw to? Or a way I could get around this? It's meaning i have a balance that i'm not able to access without spending it.

You can't transfer funds from a paypal balance to a debit card in the UK.

You can only transfer to a linked and confirmed bank account setting up the direct debit mandate (which is only used if you choose to select that way to pay future sellers instead of your card).

I had a similar issue. I tried to transfer from my paypal balance to my bank via my debit card, but got the error msg that my bank wasn't setup to receive transfers just yet. I thought that was odd since I've been transferring to my bank via debit card for a year or more.

Fortunately, I remembered that I had recently received a new card as my old one expired and thought that actually maybe my expired debit card was still linked, and I just needed to update it. Sure enough, that was the exact issue, and as soon as I updated my debit card, I was able to again instantly transfer money to my bank using it.

...it would have been helpful if paypal included that info when I looked-up help for why I didn't see my debit card as a transfer method instead of stating that my bank didn't accept transfers via debit card just yet...since it does...hope someone else finds my info helpful!
