How do I block access by eBay to my account

As we who sell on eBay should already know, eBay is no longer using PayPal to send proceeds (funds) to that result from sales on eBay. We are now required to use a Bank account instead of PayPal.

How can I prevent ALL access by eBay to my PayPal account, but still allowing me to make purchases using my PayPal balance or a credit card through the PayPay payment process? In other words, I do not want eBay to automatically pull funds from my account for any reason, like eBay fees or possible refunds to buyers, that I do not approve and agree to.

Hello to anyone who has had or has this issue.

so after much much digging I found the setting but read on......

I have just been on the receiving end of a fraudulent and disputed damaged item return for a considerable amount - appeased by ebay high value item claims team that NO refund would be made 

In fact as soon as the tracking indicates the item is returned ebay will refund and come after you.

To stop ebay having free entry to your paypal account go to your Account setting under your avatar drop down menu and choose 'payment preferences' then under 'Block payments' Ebay refunds and disputes click check box for disable auto.

That sounds Great ! Reassured and happy to have control over your account and Money ?

It will not succeed. As of today 28 April 2021 my account has been for the first time in my history put into negative balance.

Paypal allowed Ebay to debit my account - putting me into negative balance.

Appalled, furious and disgusted by this - I will update on the complaint and Financial Ombudsman's report.
