CapitalOne doesn’t support PayPal or Venmo, says CapitalOne. Apparently PP and Venmo’s security protocol doesn’t meet CapitalOne’s standards for online access, so instead of PP and Venmo telling you this they just tell you they cannot advise why there are flags on your transaction and it’s being declined, even when you have two verified bank accounts full of money at CapitalOne. I even received an email from PayPal stating “This account is verified, you may now use it for all online purchase and sending money to friends and family,” which is an outright lie and an act of bad faith and deception put forth by PayPal to help gain CapitalOne’s approval and integration into PP’s sub-par security system. This is a violation of several federal laws related to credit and debit card transactions, a violation of the Freedom of Information Act and the unethical business practices of one financial giant against the other. The losers...the customers.
