My balance doesn´t go down when i send or withdraw money

Hey, everyone.

So, yesterday I had money sent to my account which I withdrew to my bank account associated with my account and then sent some to another paypal account. Thing is, my balance didn´t go down... I found it strange since the person I sent it to told me the money was received. Waited and kept refreshing my account page and the balance didn´t go down so I did a test and sent a small amount to the same person, which was received, and again my balance didn´t go down. Has this happened to anyone else and do you know how I can resolve this problem?

If you haven't set your funding source preferences then it may have been taken from your linked bank account?

The reason that you may not have noticed yet is because paypal CREDITS any payments in advance and the funds don't leave your bank account until up to a few days later.

If you want to use your balance then do this..............

Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > second down click on update next to your prefered way to pay and put a dot in one of the options listed.

kernowlass I have set my funding source preferences long ago... I´ve been using paypal for some 10 years plus and what happened\is happening right now on my account has never happened before. I sent an amount to another person´s paypal account and it just wasn´t deducted from my balance. I made a second transaction as a test and the money i sent and was received by this person again didn´t get deducted from my balance... So i´m assuming its a technical problem going on with my account. Any advise on how to proceed to contact support? I looked it up and the issue happening on my account is not listed on Paypal´s problems database.

IT´s sorted... it was all my mistake as i sent the person the money using my linked bank account and not my paypal balance. Sorry for the inconvinience and thank you all the same for the attention.
