I signed up for Paypal direct deposit to receive my unemployment benefits. The Pennsylvania unemployment website said a back-payment of almost 2 months of unemployment was made on May 8th, its now the 13th and I have received no payments.
A second weeks worth of my unemployment was deposited today according to the PA UC website... but once again nothing in my account.
First Paypal said, it takes 3-5 business days to process. Second, they said it could take 1-2 pay periods (whatever this means.) Third, they said to check my routing and account information. Fourth, they said to make sure PA UC actually made the payments. Fifth and finally, they admitted they are overwhelmed and there is a delay on processing the payments.
Paypal advertises their direct deposit as "receive money fast" meanwhile its the exact opposite. I still have hope the money shows up at some point but im not too confident. I've switched my direct deposit to Chime to avoid this nonsense.
Respond below if you are dealing with the same issue. It might help ease some of our worries if we aren't the only ones dealing with it.
