adding HSBC currency account to paypal and how will my money flow ?

Hi there,

I am aware that Paypal UK only accept GBP, does that mean we can only pay GBP into the account and force to get the currency converted by paypal into USD?

I am trying to add my HSBC currency account into Paypal, could someone run me on the process how the money will flow?

I transfer USD into Paypal, and paypal tranfser it back to GBP then convert it to USD for me again ?

I have a HSBC currency USD account, I wish to make purchase in USD and pay for it in USD.

Hi chiuwcy,

Thank you for contacting the PayPal Community Forum and welcome as a new member! 

You can add a GBP bank account to your UK PayPal account, it is not possible to add a USD or EUR bank to a UK PayPal account.  There will be multiple currency conversions involved in using your USD bank account on the UK account.
