So recently i ordered about 4 unites of one item on a website came up around 400$ , 100$ per unite
long story short me and the website had tons of miscommunications and they just refund my money .
Now I'm new to paypal so i'm not a master yet but it says the the items have been refund to there total amount but i see no money in my paypal balance after doing some reading i found out since i paid with a credit card it should mostly likely
be refunded to the card but what i would like to know how long does it take ? some people have said 3 business days some have said 30 days what is it ?
Overall i would like to know how long it will take for my funds to be availableon my card, and if not how in gods holy name does this work
Thanks and Good day .

Welcome to the boards!
If you paid with a card, PayPal sends the funds back to the card. While PayPal makes the funds available to your card company immediately, they get to choose when they apply the credit to the card. Card companies give themselves up to 30 days to issue this credit, though most card companies post their credits with a week. Since how long it takes them to post the credit is determinedby the card issuer, consider giving them a ring to find out how they dictate the application of credits.
Thanks!
Adrian

when the seller contacts you by email and says you wont be getting your item
due to mailing address . I will have paid for that item before the cancel. Will Pay Pal just take the payment difference off my next purchase.? or will I see a refund on my credit card and will I be notified of the payment going back into my account ? this is the first time I didnt t get what I bought and I dont want to make a stink but I dont want to pay for something I wont be getting. Logical yes how it works dont know please make aware of how this works for the future and I will just go with the flow. looking forward to your answer.

First, the seller would need to refund your payment - you can check the status of the payment in your History logs. If it says "refunded," the seller has issued a refund to you.
The information for how refunds on payments funded with a card is above, but if you paid with your balance or your bank account, we place the refund into your balance. From there, you can use it for future purchases or withdraw it back to the bank via the Withdraw tab.
If your seller hasn't refunded you, just make sure you file a claim for Non-Receipt within 45 days of the day the payment was originally sent. This can be done in the Resolution Centre or by clicking on the "Report a problem" link in the details of your purchase.
Thanks!

Hello all,
Here is my dilemma, I sent my brother money for the holidays and when when he received the notification he accidentally hit REFUND. I see that paypal has shown the refund but has it has been in a pending status. I would like to resend the money, but I am waiting to see where the money has cleared. Will the refund take longer since my brother has an unverified account? Does an unverified account change the refund process?
Just curious as to how much longer I have to wait before the money clears.
Thank You & Happy New Year 🙂

LadyGodiva,
It sounds like you paid with a bank transfer. Bank transfers take three to five business days to clear.
If the recipient refunds it before the bank transfer finishes background processing, PayPal provides the funds as soon as it does (which is three to five business days from the original date of the payment).
The hold you see means that the processing just hasn't finished yet. As soon as it does, we'll provide you the transfer of funds.
As for his account status, it won't affect it at all. Account type or status won't affect refunds.
Thanks!
Adrian
