I need to unlink an email from my account, but keep it active. How?

Hi-

My band's email address is used to take paypal payments for our merch. We're shifting, now, and other members are going to be handling the paypal responsibilities so I need to unlink this address from my main profile... but I need to keep the contacts and shipping info intact. How might I do this? I'm afraid deleting the address from my account will erase everything.

Hi tommartinart, and welcome to the forums!

It sounds like you're looking to remove the address from your account to allow a new account to be opened with it. You're correct that doing so would mean that any saved contacts or history would not port over to the new account.

If you've used the account solely for band stuff, there's a better solution. You can upgrade the account to Business if it is not already upgraded, and you can do a Business Contact Name Change to designate someone else as the responsible party. You can then remove any email addresses that are yours and not the band's. You would essentially be handing the keys to this account over to the new driver, and then you would set up a separate account for your own stuff.
