I received funds in my account and tried to transfer the funds to my bank and it would not complete the transaction. I called my bank and the said all was fine on this end. So I reached out to what I thought was PayPal costumer service. the lady Dana Identified her self as PayPal rep and told me that my account had not been verified, and that I would have to speak to someone in that department. She told me she was forwarding my information and number to the correct department and that an agent would be calling me in a few minutes.
I got the call from a guy named Gerry in account verification and he told me to purchase a gift card for $100 the instructed me to purchase two more for $100 each. I gave him the numbers and at that time I realized that it was a scam. I was devastated and tried to reach out to PayPal but no one is available to assist. I then reached out to E bay customer service rep who told me the funds on the gift cards had been used and that I need to file a police report. I been sending messages to PayPal for two days and still have not gotten any assistance. What a bummer please be careful.
