Greetings,
I am buying a used piece of equipment, sight unseen from an individual. He would like a PayPal payment before he delivers it. It’s a 10 hour drive for seller to deliver. I would like to accommodate but don’t want to release funds until I inspect it. I want to show that money is ready to be deposited but not payed until all has been delivered. I’m thinking of C.O.D. type situation. I do not use PayPal much so I’m a not sure what it would be called. Does PayPal have a way to notify seller that payment is pending on deliver and or inspection then once I believe conditions have been met release the funds?
Thanks for your time,
Kevin S.

Paypal does not provide an escrow service and unfortunately there is no buyer protection for items personally delivered or collected so your thoughts on cash on delivery would be the best bet.
