HELP! Using Nickname as Display Name to all Senders for Privacy

Hi friends,

Is it possible to use a different / nickname to be displayed when a Sender sends money using an email address or Paypal.me link? I wish that was possible as I prefer not to reveal my full legal name to Senders. Currently my full legal name is displayed upon a successful transaction which is visible to the Sender.

If I change my name in my Account directly, it will affect when I want to withdraw funds to my Bank account as withdrawals must match my legal name in Paypal - so yeah this a problem!

Any help is much appreciated!

Thank you for contacting the PayPal Community Forum and welcome as a new member!

If you have a Personal/Premier PayPal account, it is not possible to change the name on PayPal. We do not allow accounts to be created in a nickname and the name on your PayPal account must match the name on your legal photo ID. You are correct in saying that by changing the name, it will affect your bank withdrawals as the name on your bank account must match the name on your PayPal account. 

If you have a Business PayPal account, you may be able to add a trading name and this trading name will be shown to buyer's when they make a payment to you.
