PayPal in Israel

There is an argument going on on Twitter as to whether you can have a PayPal account if you live in Israel. Can someone from PayPal please confirm one way or the other what the situation is?

Many thanks - but why on earth is it listed under Asia Pacific?! It’s nowhere near the flaming pacific! Should be listed under Europe really. The argument stemmed from animal shelters in Gaza using PayPal to accept donations.

Think you need to re-check your maps as Israel is nowhere near Europe.

Israel is near Egypt / Iran / Iraq / Syria etc....and they for sure are NOT in Europe.   😂
