Is there any way you can tell if a website using PayPal as means of receiving payment, is legit? www.studyingcore.com -- I don't have anything specific to report, just seems fishy. Through some online searching, I believe studyingdeal.com (no longer working) is what used to be the website for what is now studyingcore.com. I found similar posts and questions about it online, such as redit. I did not find any specific mentions of problems, but just generally seems fishy. The website processes payments with their own PayPal account. You can go to the website and see.

I bought their access code yesterday. I got the access code is on the thank you page after payment, and it works. Up to this time, I have not had any problems with my code.

Not legit. I too registered. Got the code immediately and it worked - I was super stoked that I saved $50, but then when I logged back on a few days later it showed that my access was canceled. I called Cengage. Studyingcore.com is on their list of fraudulent sites. They said the code was valid, but had been inactivated. I reached out to studyingcore.com and guess what? I haven't heard back yet. The phone number is disconnected. Cengage support said that access codes are only legitimate when purchased through cengage or your school bookstore. Buyer Beware!
