Can I create a venmo account with my PayPal account?

On the venmo sign up page there is a button to sign up with an existing facebook account so is it possible to sign up with an existing PayPal account since PayPal basically owns venmo. Honestly, there should already be a venmo payment method option automatically integrated into the PayPal wallet.

No. Venmo at PayPal is a business and sales tool. PayPal will utilize existing PayPal checkout integration to automatically deliver Venmo as a payment option to merchant/seller's customers who have Venmo accounts. The Venmo button shows up during PayPal checkout process if you accept or making payments through PayPal. To sign up for Venmo, please visit their website.
