Help! Scammed by my direct deposit going into someone's PayPal acct? How do I find out for sure?

HELP! I'm pretty sure that this "Friend" of mine, who helped me fill out the non filers tool document for the stimulus/EIP online thru IRS what's, enteted her PayPal account to receive MY stimulus/EIP funds instead of MY own checking account! How do I find out,(FOR SURE 100%) if I happen to know her last 4 numbers of the paypal account (only due to it showinh on the IRS website where it said what account my direct deposit would be doing to be only showed this last 4#'s of the account?). I've asked her a million times& she's denying it even though I'm finding out as time goes on that she's known to be a scam artist & fraud is"her thing"!?! I've heard the lecturing already so please save it, I just need some insight on what to do to find out if she used her pay pal account for sure since I was told that already by an IRS representative that whoevers acct this was, used a Wells Fargo routing number. Cha-ching! Apparently PayPal uses Wells Fargos routing numbers for this new direct deposit deal they have going for the refunds everyone receiving since I've been to Wells Fargo, IN PERSON, to verify that there's no open accounts in my name alone, so this is my last resort. Hope this makes sense, I'm literally at wits ends & don't wanna file a police report on this individual unless I can prove 110% that its really her acct that was used with my info! 😞 #stimulus #EIP #directdeposit #wellsfargo #fraud #identitytheft #IRS

Ok, bare with me. I've been waiting for my stimulus since the IRS website showed it was deposited on April 13!! As Missy of us, we went ahead and signed up for direct deposit for quicker stimulus checks. I was confused on the Wells Fargo involvement too. Go to paypal prepaid, sign up for direct deposit, it's not the same sign up as what we did through our PayPal account, pick a card and wait for it to come in the mail. This new card is associated with your PayPal BUT it is a prepaid card for government issued payment. When it comes in the mail download the PayPal prepaid app, login and activate the new card. That's as far as I've gotten, I'm waiting on the card but my clairvoyance (😂) tells me doing this will release the money from the random Wells Fargo that doesn't even know we exist, deposit into the new card and we've been set free! Why they couldn't just add it to the PayPal we already use is beyond me. But way to make **bleep** difficult! And it's a good idea to update the AI in messages about this because they have no clue what I'm talking about, all I got was an unwanted automated message telling me to contact the IRS! Very professional PayPal. I hope this is our solution. I'm pulling my hair out dealing with these uninformed computers.
