Phone call from <Removed>

Hello

Is <Removed> a genuine Paypal number? I received a call asking for details before sharing information with me, when I said I'd make contact as I would with my bank, the person on the phone became rude and abrupt.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I got missed calls and when I answered one, I was asked to confirm my email address at which point I said no and asked them to tell me why they were calling. The person said that it's fine if I do not want to confirm over the phone but to log onto my PayPal account and check for messages to see why they were calling. I ended the call and checked but there were no messages.

I've had 2 call from <Removed> today. Irish bloke. And he called twice over the last month.
