We do not have a shopping cart system on our site, we just have paypal buttons for people to buy tickets and make donations. Is there any way to track abandoned orders? I've seen the question asked a bit, but no clear answers.

It happens. Hit the "Login to Ask the community" button to create a question for the PayPal community.
