Letter from Comenity Capital Bank

I received a letter from Comenity Capital Bank c/o PayPal Credit. The letter explained that either my E-mail inbox was full or my e-mail address has changed.  Update your info.  I logged in to this account and it seems that all is OK furthermore my e-mail Inbox is fine since I continue to receive e-mail from everyone else. Is this a scam or is there a real issue with my account.

I also got a letter from Comenity Capital Bank, and they claimed there was a problem with a preapproval of an account, and ask me to call a number were the first thing the automated system wanted was my SSN...   No thanks...   Hung up and threw the letter away...
