Viewing promotional balances

Hi...I have been on my online PayPal Credit Account before and a list of my promotional balances has popped up. I have tried everything I can find to do on there today to reproduce that list but just can’t find it. Can anyone give me the directions to getting it? It’s the list with only the promotional (deferred) charges and the dates they must be paid off by to not be charged interest. Thanks!

Hi lmmac2020,

Thank you for your post and welcome to our Community Help Forum!

If you have several promotional balances on your account, your PayPal Credit payment will be applied to the oldest promotional balance first. If your promotional balance isn’t paid in full before the due date the accrued interest will appear on your next statement balance. You can find the list of the promotional balanced in your billing statement.

I hope this helps.

I have some promotional balances that will expire soon. From what I understand, Paypal does not provide any options to apply any payment you make to a promotional balance. In order to do this you need to contact customer support and specify a payment be applied to your promotional balance. The issue is I cannot contact customer support to specify my payment be applied to the promo balance. AS a result I will be hit with a huge monthly payment bill unless I can get through to Paypal to apply the payment to my promo purchases. Any suggestions on how I can get a hold of Paypal to straighten this out? I do not want to report this to the CFPB and appreciate feedback. Thank you

I made a $500 payment today and was able to get through a Paypal representative on chat. The payment was not automatically applied to my oldest Promo Balance. I had to ask that the payment be applied. After payment was taken, customer service told me they applied only about $300 to my promo balance. I had to ask again for the entire $500 to be applied to my promo balance. Finally the customer service representative was able to do this. I found out there are additional promotional balances that will expire soon and I am trying to contact Paypal to straighten out the Payment. No one responds on chat and when I call customer support I am told no one is available. How can I apply my payment to the promotional balance to avoid being charged back interest? Thank you October 28 2020

Cristina,

Thank you for making yourself available. I've tried numerous times to speak with someone. Generally successful, but, recently, no one is available.

Two Issues:

1) As someone previously posted, Promotional Transaction list is, all of a sudden, nowhere to be found. And I'm using my laptop. Why? Where can I find that elusive list?

2) I have both Promotional Transactions AND standard Credit accruing transactions. I WAS ASSURED by a PayPal CSR that my Payments made were applied to the INTEREST bearing balance. I had already seen it wasn't so but was assured it was. Now, from what I read, they in fact ARE applied to promotional balances which i make sure I pay before they come due. I should be the one making that decision. So now I find that ALL of those payments I made in the EXACT amounts of those small transactions were in fact applied to a balance that I already had, on my calendar, scheduled to pay! And meanwhile, the interest bearing balance continues to accrue interest. NOT COOL! The responsibility to pay promo balances is mine!

Please just tell me where I can view My Promo Balance Transaction List.

Thank You Kindly.
