"Decent credit" doesn't sound like great or even good credit score.
There would be considerations of your debt to available credit with all credit cards.
Late payments could reduce availability.
History of PayPal transactions and disputes could have an impact.
PayPal Credit is not like a regular credit card which you can use on demand for any amouunt where the credit card is accepted. So don't count on using it when you want to.
PayPal Credit is generally for higher amounts, like over $99.
PayPal Credit promotions are not always available.
PayPal will review each potential purchase. When all qualifications are met you will be presented with PayPal Credit options. PayPal will continue the review.

I have very good credit. The only reason I even applied was to try it out.i have had friends talk about it saying it was good, so I thought I would give it a shot. Well like I said in my earlier post I got approved for over 3000. I'm not trying to use it every time i turn around but I did try to use it when I first applied. And can't touch it so like I said what's the point in giving it when the person applying can't touch it. I understand it's not a regular credit card. But don't false advertise.

PayPal Credit can be a very good credit tool to use help manage you finances, not because you need the credit. It's a good way to park you money in an interest bearing account for six months while you use PPC for big purchases. When the promotion expires just take money from investments and pay the debit.
As with any credit you need to use it wisely and avoid all interest charges.

I have used Paypal credit on and off for a few years. It doesn't have to be the default payment type unless you select it, but I have noticed that every time you pay for something on Paypal, it might select Paypal credit as the default, if you don't unselect it. Obviously the golden rule is to take you time with purchases and look at what is on your screen. A rule that should be default anyway.
I have an excellent credit rating ( not bragging, just saying ) and the only problem I have found, is that you get 'given' a credit limit and if you want an increase ( as I wanted this morning for a large purchase that I wanted to spread the cost of, over four months, with no interest ), then.........you simply can't have one !!!
This does seem ridiculous, if you have a good credit rating and you can't even talk to an underwriter to ask for one either.
This is a fundamental flaw in Paypal's service to it's customers, if you ask me.
I rang and spoke to an advisor and it really was.........'sorry, computer says no' territory !
Not that it matters to them, but I shall be taking my credit to somebody else 🙂
