Shopify - Pending PayPal Express Checkout Payment

I'm a drop shipper in the US and performed a test run with a product in my store using the Shopify platform. I checked my bank and debit was made for the cost of the product from my account. Under Shopify Orders, displays the following message 'PayPal Express Checkout is still processing this order's payment. To make sure you get paid, wait for the payment to be successful before fulfilling this order'. My Shopify Payment Settings are set to auto and not manual.
I read through the transfer of funds from your bank to PayPal is an automated process that is initiated when a payment is first sent and takes 3-5 business days to complete. When a payment is reported to be unauthorized, PayPal places the money on temporarily hold on our system but is unable to cancel this initial transfer. If our investigation proves the PayPal payment to be unauthorized before this initial transfer is completed, then the funds are temporarily held until we receive the money. This hold is in place to prevent a situation where PayPal refunds money that we then do not receive.
Your money will be available after the payment status changes from "Placed" to "Completed." There is no hold if the payment has already been processed by the bank to PayPal. In this situation we know we have received the money from your bank and it is immediately available in your PayPal balance when our investigation proves the PayPal payment to be unauthorized.
Question - my store account is an existing PayPal account. I understand PayPal performs verification, frequently with new users, but I may have missed a PayPal Payment Setting like 'auto' to process and escalate the credit portion of the purchase to my account?
