This is my first time taking credit card payments with my phone. I have the swipe reader that plugs into the headphone jack of my phone. It seems as though everything is set up correctly but it will not swipe. I was able to get it to swipe after many tries in the troubleshoot section but had to key in my first client's payment, which went through. I read the comments about swiping both directions and I am going to try that! Thank you!
What I am also confused about and cannot find the answer to online...am I supposed to be connected to Bluetooth? I am incredibly confused by this. It seems like it wants me to, but then I cannot connect to any Bluetooth network, and my first hand keyed payment went through with Wi-fi. This seems like a stupid question but I am very confused. Thanks again for the swiping tip! Maybe that is the only thing I need to fix.
